The holidays can be a hectic time of year. During the rush and brush of the holly-daze, we can lose site of the true spirit of the season. Take a look at the video below of a drone peacefully flying around a private jet. Now we all know that drones and planes are mortal enemies.
The drone operator and I were both nervous during this shoot. Would everything go well? Would there be enough room? Will the jet and drone get into a fight?
In the end, we learned a lot from watching these two. Although the space is dedicated to the jet, she remains tolerant and shares it happily. Ever the respectful guest, the drone hovers slowly and calmly and accepts that she should not invade the jet’s personal space. Mutual compassion allows them to feel unthreatened and enjoy each other’s company.
You can see the final footage in the video tour we produced for Clemens Food Group in Coldwater, Michigan this past summer.
The holiday season is a solemn reminder that peace on earth is attainable. Simply put, it’s a decision. To make that decision, we have to change the way we think. Changing the way we think is difficult. What can we to do when something is difficult? Practice! Right!
So, let’s practice! Let’s practice being tolerant and accepting of others. Let’s also practice coming from a place of compassion. Regardless of class, creed, color, gender or sexual orientation. Let’s put into practice the belief that there is always enough room…for everyone. Not just in our nation, but also in our minds.
We wish you peace upon this earth and good will towards men…and women…and those still identifying.
