Lords of the Ring

Congratulations to CompuData, Inc. on their great testimonial video featuring Specialty Ring Products.  Did you ever wonder who makes those huge seamless steel rings for jet turbines, helicopter gearboxes, paper mills, and windmills?  Me either, but I bet a lot of specialty mechanics do!  Specialty Ring Products (SRP) is the premier source for forged seamless rolled rings and shapes used in the most demanding aerospace, defense, and industrial applications.

SRP needed a better ERP system.  CompuData, Inc. provided them with a great software solution with Epicor ERP.  This helped SRP increase their margins which, in turn, allowed them to be much more competitive in the industry.   The process was fascinating to watch and a pleasure to produce for CompuData, Inc.

Remembering Those Who Labored

Those Who Made America As we come to celebrate the end-of-summer three-day weekend, let us pause to reflect on why we celebrate Labor Day. Labor Day is observed on the first Monday in September and has come to symbolize the end of summer for many Americans.  Many celebrate with parties, parades and athletic events, but it’s origins come from the… Read more →

Resolved: A Story of Independence

The Revolutionary War began with small battles in April of 1775.  At that time, only a few colonists desired complete independence from Great Britain and those who did want complete separation were considered radical.  In early 1776, publisher Thomas Paine expressed revolutionary sentiments in his best selling pamphlet, “Common Sense”.   This added to the growing resentment of British rule, leading… Read more →
